About Our Hospital

The National Institute of Mental Health is a specialized government hospital in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, established in 2001. It provides mental health services, develops policies, conducts research, and trains doctors and health workers. The institute employs about 300 professionals and has facilities for over 400 inpatients, with 400–500 outpatients visiting daily. Specialized clinics serve children, adolescents, the elderly, and patients with depression, OCD, sexual health issues, and addiction. Psychologists also provide counseling and psychotherapy alongside medical care.
